When do I need to add rewards/incentives to my brief?
Incentives must always be added before the brief goes live.
If incentives are added after the brief has already launched, users who have already submitted responses may not receive their rewards, and in some cases it may be too late to process payments correctly. To avoid this issue, make sure the reward is fully set up before launch.
If rewards were not added before launch, submit a Support Request so the team can investigate and help ensure eligible participants receive their rewards where possible.

How do I add rewards/incentives to a single brief?
Add rewards during brief setup. In MyBulbshare, open the brief, go to the Launch section, click Reward Center, and add a new reward.
Complete the General tab carefully: enter an internal reward name, set the participant-facing title (recommended to include the incentive value) choose the correct channel and country, confirm the reward type, and decide whether Required approval should be enabled.
Set No. of Briefs to 1, Units per Reward (in GBP), and Total Units correctly (in GBP), then add the required brief in the Requirements tab and save.
A brief listed under Requirements is one that the same participant must complete to receive that reward.
Before launch, check the reward indicator to confirm that the reward is linked to the correct brief or briefs.
For linked briefs serving different markets, regions, or audience groups, set up a separate reward for each parent or child brief.
Do not delete a reward that has already been used or has funds allocated to it. If a reward issue is discovered after launch, raise a Support Request as soon as possible.

How do I set up rewards/incentives for parent and linked briefs?
For linked briefs launched to different markets, regions, channels, or audience groups, set up a separate reward for each individual brief, including the parent brief.
For each reward, set No. of Briefs to 1, add only the relevant brief under Requirements, check the channel, country, reward value, and total reward budget, and set up the reward before launching the brief.
Do not add all linked briefs to one reward.

What is Units per Reward?
Units per Reward is the amount paid to one participant when they successfully complete the required brief or briefs.
If more than one brief is required, this is the total reward paid after all required briefs are completed, not the amount paid after each brief.
The platform uses GBP by default, so if payment should be made in another currency, the value must first be converted into GBP before it is entered here.

What is Total Units?
Total Units is the total reward budget for the activity in GBP, not the payment amount for one response.
Once the Total Units budget is fully used, the brief closes because no budget remains for additional rewards.
If more responses are needed, increase Total Units on the existing reward. Do not create a new reward for the same activity.

What does Required approval mean?
When Required approval is enabled, the reward is not paid automatically. The submission must be reviewed and approved before payment is released.
This is typically used for higher-value rewards or activities where the submission needs to be checked, such as shopping tasks or tasks requiring specific media.

Can I require participants to complete multiple briefs for one reward/incentive?
Yes. Set up one reward only, and configure it so participants must complete all the required briefs before the reward is triggered.
The briefs must already be created and set up within the same channel before you link the reward.
In the reward setup, add a clear internal name, complete the title, choose the correct channel and country, set the reward type, decide whether approval is required, set No. of Briefs to match the number of briefs that must be completed, enter the value in Units per Reward (in GBP), set the Total Units budget (in GBP), then list every required brief in the Requirements tab and save.
Do not repeat the same setup for each brief individually, because that can create duplicate rewards and result in users being rewarded multiple times.
Once configured, only users who complete all listed briefs are eligible for the reward.

Can I change the reward after the brief has launched?
Some reward settings can be changed after launch, but others may be restricted.
You can change:
- Reward Name - visible only internally
- Title - the message sent to participants after completing the brief
- Requires Approval - can be changed after launch, but it will only impact new responses
- Total Units - if you need more budget, increase Total Units on the existing reward; do not create a duplicate reward.
Do not change:
- Channel
- Country
- Type
- No. of Briefs
- Units per Reward
- Required briefs to be completed for this specific reward
Do not delete a reward that has already been used and has funds allocated to it. If the reward is linked to the wrong brief or needs correcting after launch, close the brief and contact Support rather than deleting the reward.

What should I do if my reward/incentive needs to be paid in a different currency?
Reward setup is configured in GBP.
If participants need to be paid in another currency, convert the reward value into its GBP equivalent and enter that converted amount under Units per Reward. Use the same GBP basis when setting Total Units.
The platform does not automatically convert reward currencies, so check the values carefully before launch.

Why has a participant not been paid?
A participant may not have been paid because:
- The reward was added too late.
- The reward is waiting for approval.
- The participant did not meet the applicable eligibility (end-fail logic was used) or quality requirements.
- The participant has not completed all required briefs.
- The wrong country was selected.
- The reward was not linked correctly.
- The Total Units budget was exhausted.
If the issue is discovered after launch, raise a Support Request as soon as possible so the team can investigate.

Reward/incentive setup for my brief has been fully used. I need more responses - what should I do?
If the reward budget has been fully used, the brief closes because no budget remains for additional participants.
Go back to the existing reward setup and increase Total Units. Do not create a new reward for the same activity.
Go back to your brief, update the end date, and increase the required responses number if this has been reached. Publish or launch your brief again.

Should I enable Required approval for tasks that need quality checks?
Consider enabling Required approval for higher-value incentives or tasks that require manual review, such as shopping missions or photo and video submissions.
Payment is held until review. Define the quality requirements clearly in the brief; approval does not replace clear task instructions or quality criteria.

Why do I see some rewards as “Awaiting approval”?
A reward shows as Awaiting approval when the reward has been set up with Requires Approval enabled.
This means the participant has completed the brief, but their reward will not be issued automatically. It remains pending until their response has been reviewed — for example, where the task includes photo or video submissions, a store visit, or another activity that needs a quality check.
Where approval has been enabled, our internal team will review the submissions as part of the moderation check and will either approve or reject the pending rewards.
If the response meets the required criteria, the reward will be approved and issued.
If the response does not meet the required criteria, the reward will be rejected.
Using Requires Approval is recommended for higher-value rewards or briefs where response quality needs to be checked before payment.

Why are some rewards showing as “Awaiting approval” when I did not set up approval?
Even if a reward was not set up to require approval, some rewards may be randomly selected for an internal quality check.
These rewards will temporarily show as Awaiting approval while they are reviewed. Our internal team will complete the check and either approve or reject the reward.
You do not need to take any action. Once the check has been completed, the reward status will be updated.
