Survey logic types & how they work

What is survey logic

Logic can be applied within surveys to create a more relevant and engaging experience for participants.

Instead of showing every participant the same set of questions, the survey can adapt based on:

  • previous answers
  • selected responses

This allows participants to see only the questions that are relevant to them, helping to:

  • improve completion rates
  • reduce unnecessary questions
  • collect more accurate feedback
  • deliver deeper and more actionable insights

How logic works

Logic helps create a smarter and more dynamic survey flow.

For example:

  • If a participant gives a certain answer, they can be shown specific follow-up questions.
  • If a section is not relevant to them, it can be skipped automatically.
  • If a participant does not qualify, the survey can end early.

This ensures participants only see questions that are relevant to them, creating a smoother survey experience.
