How to set up auto tags for community profiling

Auto tags allow you to automatically categorise and profile participants based on their responses.

Participants are added to an auto tag after they respond to your brief. Tagging occurs while the brief is live.

Steps:

1. Go to the Brief Builder of your project.
2. Navigate to the Survey section.
3. Add a supported question type: Multiple Choice, AB, or Swipe.
4. Create your question (e.g. to profile users).
5. Open the User Property dropdown.
6. Choose to:
   • Select an existing tag, or
   • Create a new tag by entering a name
7. Define the property values (these map to the answer options).
8. Click Save.

Manual vs Auto Tags

• Auto Tags: Participants are automatically tagged based on their responses while a brief is live.
• Manual Tags: Tags are created from a predefined list (e.g. past responses) to segment and target specific users for future briefs.
