What is Video AI Analysis?

Video AI Analysis is an Advanced Report feature that helps you review and understand video responses submitted by community members. (If Media - Video question was part of your brief).

It uses AI to identify recurring topics and key themes across the videos. It can also provide summaries, transcripts and explanations of why certain topics have been identified as important.

You can use the results to:

• Review the main themes across all video responses.
• Find specific video clips where participants discuss a particular theme.
• Create a video summary/showreel using selected clips.
• Make small edits to clips before downloading the finished video.
• Ask questions about the video responses using the AI Agent.
• Create a follow-up brief based on topics identified in the analysis.

Video AI Analysis is available from the Advanced Report. Open the relevant brief, then navigate to the video analysis area.

If your project contains linked briefs, you can use the brief selector to move between them and review the video responses collected in each brief.

Review the AI analysis

1. Review the summary and topics

Start by reviewing the AI-generated summary. This provides an overview of the main points identified across all submitted videos.

The analysis may also include topics or tags that have been mentioned by community members. These help you understand what participants discussed in their responses.

2. Review the key themes

The Key Themes section highlights the most important themes identified across the videos.

Each key theme includes an explanation of why it has been identified as a significant theme. This can help you understand the wider context before reviewing the individual clips.

Next to each key theme, you will see a number. This shows how many video references are associated with that theme (one video can include multiple references).

Find video clips for a key theme and Create a showreel

1. Select a key theme

• Click a key theme to view the video clips where participants discussed that topic.
• The selected clips will show the relevant part of each participant’s video. You can play the clips and review the transcript alongside the video.
• A participant may refer to the same theme more than once in a single video response. When this happens, the different references will be shown separately so you can review each relevant section.

2. Select the clips you want to use

• Use the selection toggle to choose the clips you want to include in your showreel.
• You can select clips from one key theme to create a focused summary

3. Open the video editor

• Click the option to "Create showreel". The selected clips will open automatically in the video editor.
• Each selected clip will appear as a one merged video section in the editor.
• All videos listed under selected theme will be visible on the right side - they can be added to already created reel. They need to be moved to the correct position within the created reel.

4. Edit your showreel

• You can change the order of the clips and shorten them if needed.
• Select a clip to edit it. The editing tools will appear on the left-hand side of the screen.
• You can adjust its length to remove sections that are not needed.
• Use the volume controls to adjust the sound for the selected clip.
• Use animations to create a transition between clips.
• You can adjust how the video fits within the screen. Depending on the available options, you may be able to choose whether the video:
  • Covers the screen.
  • Fills the screen.
  • Appears within the screen with space around it.
• You can resize a video clip and add another clip to the same screen. This allows you to create a collage-style layout.
• You can add text to your showreel, for example:
  • A participant name or profile detail.
  • A location or demographic detail.
  • A title for the video.
  • An introduction or explanation of the theme.
• After adding text, you can adjust its animation, style, font, alignment and colour. You can also extend the text so that it remains visible throughout the video.
• You can add music to the showreel using the music option in the editor.
• You can add images as background images. For example, you may want to use an image behind an introductory title or opening message.

5. Download the finished showreel

• When you are happy with the showreel, click Download.
• The finished video will be prepared and downloaded to your device.

Ask questions using the AI Agent

Video AI Analysis also includes an AI Agent that you can use to ask questions about the submitted videos.

The AI Agent reviews the available video responses and provides an answer based on the content it finds. You can continue asking follow-up questions to explore the findings in more detail.

You can download the complete conversation or copy the relevant part of the conversation for use in your analysis.

Create a follow-up brief

Video AI Analysis can identify topics that may be useful to explore further with participants.

When a follow-up opportunity is available, review the suggested prompt and select Launch Brief. The platform will create a new brief for you in the Brief AI section of Business Lab. You can then edit the brief, if needed, and complete its setup before launching it.

The audience is not set up automatically. If you want to target participants who completed the original brief:

1. Create a manual tag for the relevant participants.
2. Select this tag when setting up the audience for the follow-up brief.

Review the generated brief and complete the remaining setup, including the audience, incentives and any necessary content changes, before launching it.
